A Day Filled With Hearts...

Today was a special day for our family.  We spent the day traveling around the State and got to visit with a few very special heart families.

We started our morning off by heading over to the Pancake Breakfast in support of the MUSC PCICU (a very good cause indeed!!) and enjoyed the nice breakfast.

After that, we hit the road to Spartanburg for a much-needed Costco run and enjoyed our time at one of the mecca's of those of us from the Pacific Northwest...

Since we were in the area, we took a little detour on the way back to Columbia and visited with Milo & Hazyl Wilson (Milo is Josiah's daddy - another special heart baby in heaven with Hudson - you can read about his journey here).  It was a nice visit & we appreciate so much their family's spirit and faithfulness as they have been so very transparent throughout their little warrior's journey here on earth.

We headed back down to Columbia and were fortunate enough to meet up with two more special heart families - the Butcher's and the Moore's (Butcher's are parents to Annabelle - also in heaven with Hudson - you can read about her journey here; Moore's are parents to Addison, Hudson's first heart-buddy in the PCICU at MUSC - you can read about her and follow her continued progress here).

It was truly an honor to get to spend our day with such wonderful families - all of whom love the Lord and continue to serve him daily, even in the midst of hardship and joy.  Being around these families lifts our spirits and reminds us how very important it is to keep Hudson's legacy alive and to honor that legacy here on earth until we see him again.  As each day goes by and we come closer and closer to actually launching his ministry, we are filled with excitement and anticipation over the lives and families his legacy will touch.  We were reminded of how close-knit the little heart community is and how precious each of these families are.  We feel so blessed to be associated with such wonderful people.  We're looking forward to all that God has in store for Hudson's ministry in 2010!
