The Secret's Out... So Let's Celebrate!!

Well, the secret is most certainly out!  If you hadn't already heard, here it is "from the horse's mouth" - We are expecting another little boy!  He is due in early Spring (March time frame).  We've had quite a few different screening tests due to past history, etc.  ALL of these have given nothing but good results.  A few weeks ago we had our full anatomy scan (you know, where you can see the reproductive parts ;) and ALL major organ systems, etc. look normal.  Most importantly and most relieving, we paid a visit to MUSC last week and saw a BEAUTIFUL looking heart with all four chambers - working just as a completely healthy heart should.  So, needless to say, we are very excited and rejoicing!

We are quite big fans of the TV Show "The Biggest Loser" and have pretty much watched it religiously every season since it started.  This season has really hit home for us, particularly with contestant Abby.  For those who don't watch it, Abby is a courageous woman who lost her husband, young daughter and newborn son very suddenly in a auto crash.  She was supposed to be in the same car with them, so as you can imagine life has been difficult for her.  The show has done a pretty good job of allowing her to graciously tell her story.  Well, she was voted off last week after making it about halfway through.  She was able to really tell her story in her last episode and it was a true inspiration.  We couldn't help but identify with her grief, numbness, and sheer pain she has endured in the time since losing her family.  But what stuck the most, and what has been on our hearts these past few weeks was her parting words as she left the show.  She said that after all the pain and hurt, she is now starting to live again, starting to dream again.  We identify not only with her pain, but also with the hope she has in her future.  We share that same hope, and continue to dream.  We hold on to God's promises, as we always have.  Specifically, we believe and take hold of His promise in Philippians 1:6 - "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  Amen to that!!  Rejoice along with us, while at the same time remembering our valiant Warrior & all those precious heart babies that have gone to be with Jesus and especially those still here.  Lord knows, we will never forget our Warrior & his legacy will live on for longer than we could even measure.  Now, enjoy the rest of our new baby photos!!
